I had a normal first pregnancy...just a large baby. I don't remember much of my labor (only a few moments), but I was induced and had a hard time pushing. I woke up a month later in a new hospital, and I didn't even remember having my baby. I found out that I hemorrhaged after giving birth, ended up having an emergency hysterectomy, multiple organ failure, and DIC. I was put in a medically-induced coma for a month while I was on continuous dialysis. My doctor said it may have all been because of an amniotic fluid embolism. I wish I knew if pitocin may have been a part of it.
