hi everyone i just want to say thank you for posting your stories, they were a real eye opener. i am 38 weeks pregnant with my first child and have gestational diabetes. i was originally planning to have a beautiful natural childbirth at a birthing center until they discovered my diabetes and transfered me. from the begining my new doctor had said that he would like to induce me because babies of mothers with gestational diabetes tend to be really big. however he did an ultrasound just lase week and saw that my baby was a normal size and estimated her weight at 6lbs. so everything is great but he still seems to want to induce me so i went online to do research about inductions and the drugs used. i did not like anything i have read. i actually cried when i read some of these stories. i think it is horrible that doctors are scheduling births and misusing these drugs. i have my next appt tomorrow and i am telling him that there is no way i am going to be induced. my baby will be here when she is meant to be and she will be perfectly fine!
