I'm so sorry for what you have went through. I've had Pitocin twice (not needed, only to casually 'speed things along'). The last time it was actually a mistake, the monitor wasn't showing any progress with my contractions. I was in increasing intense pain, I couldn't believe they thought that. Of course, they started increasing it, despite my obvious suffering and pleas. They eventually discovered the monitor wasn't working. They even got the epidural wrong, it was dripping down my back. So, it was a hellish experience to say the least. I have a very high pain tolerance, but Pitocin is something I can't deal with. I swear it feels like I'm on the very, very edge of bursting and all I can do is shiver and shake from the pain. It feels like my stomach is coming out my back (so, so squished) and being shocked while doing so...x 100. I'm pregnant with number three and there is NO way I'm going through that again. I honestly feel I may not be so lucky next time. Some are ok with it, my body's not.
