Thanks for your post. I am happy that you knew all of the risks before you received pitocin. The purpose of this site is to help other women be informed and want to be educated. Also to find other women who have experienced similar circumstances and may have wondered what happened - to shed some light. All of us weren't as lucky as you with our deliveries, our doctors, and getting information from them. In fact, there are more women than not that have been induced and that had great experiences. But I have talked to hundreds and hundreds of women and husbands who weren't so lucky and if were properly educated about pitocin and the risks, would not have chosen induction or would have known if they were being overdosed. Here is what I think...I don't trust too many doctors... Birth is natural and shouldn't be rushed because of a Saturday golf game. Pitocin is being misused.
Just for the record, all information posted here are personal experiences/stories. There are no Doctors/Nurses answering questions on the board. This board is for sharing stories so we can learn from each other! If you have any problems with the board, please email me at Angela4KP1@comcast.net
