I have had 3 children. 2 natural births that was used to progress labor that had stopped. I made sure I was informed of the any complications well before delivery. 36 hours after my water broke and I was stuck having moderate contractions that was not causing dilation only pain, I opted for the pitocin. I had him 4 hours later, he was happy and healthy. My second son happend similarly with me getting to 5 cm and not going any futher. I had positive expriences but I was aware of the risk either way. The misuse of any drug is dangerous. This one is no exception. Knowing your Doctor and thier practices are important. Discussing your plans before plan helps. I am sorry for everyones losses and negative exprience but some of us are incapable of progressing normally without it.
