I was induced with my fist child and I didn't have an epidural. My water broke and they didn't want me to have a dry labor, which is why I was induced. Everything actually went very well and I gave birth to a healthy 8 pound 5 1/2 ounce son. I didn't have to be induced with my daughter and am now on my third after nearly nine years, which I also plan to have naturally with no meds. After reading the story about Pitocin, though, I am praying that it doesn't come down to having to be induced this time. Don't think I would be comfortable with knowing what I now know.
