I won't go into details here but today is my daughter's 2nd birthday and the day when I had almost bled to death due to an emergent c-sec from a failed induction with pitocin. I was at 9 cm and not progressing on pitocin and was told that a good option would be to do a c-sec. Long story short, I almost bled to death from an uterine artery tear and ended up with a hysterectomy, right ovary removed, bladder repair and an indwelling urinary catheter for 2 weeks the next day. I guess I'm reliving all this due to the anniversary aspect of this.
