In July of 1975 my wife had our son who will soon be 28. From the day of his birth he has had physical and mental health issues. In the first day of his life he was diagnosed with Bilirubin/Jaundice. As an infant he had difficulty crawling, walking, etc. As a toddler he underwent rehabilitation therapy in an attempt to correct motor skill problems. He has had mental health problems his entire life. He has been diagnosed as LD & bipolar. He barely finished HS. He has made several unsuccessful attempts at college, he avoids social situations and has been unable to find and keep a job. He has experienced major depression and has attempted suicide. My wife was given the drug Pitocin (brand name for oxytocin) with the drip for approximantely 10 hours which resulted in high forceps delivery. We have recently learned that this drug is still routinely used today and its use is very controversial. We have also learned that there is a possible link between this drug, bipolar and learning disabled children. We are almost 100% convinced that this drug was misused during the birth of our son and caused neonatal hypoxia from too frequent and prolonged uterine contractions. Our second son, who my wife had naturally is very talented. He has finished college and functions normally. Does anyone else have a child as old as ours and is still suffering from the effects of this dangerous drug? And is there a statute of limitations on class action lawsuits?
