My wife is due for our 2nd child on June 6th. Her blood pressure is elevated (she also has a complication called Bells Palsy) and they want her to go in on Friday, May 30th for induction w Pitocin. We're leery about doing that - my fist child (son) is now 3 and was diagnosed with ASD (high functioning austism) about 14 months ago. My labor for him, included Pitocin, when she was about 6,7 cm - baby came about 4 hours after the Pitocin (overall labor was 14 hours). I'm not real clear on the amount of the drip? Among other environmental factors, including, but not limited to vaccinations, toxins, food, etc . . . we're uietly wondering if the Pitocin could also have contributed to my son's ASD. And, obviously, we're very concerned this time around? Any insights?
