I have a long, complicated pg history but on my last pg my water starting leaking at 35 wks. I was already in preterm labor and 80% effaced and 3 cm dilated. OB had me remove terbutaline pump and started pitocin. Labor went quickly (as it had in the past w/o pitocin). Trouble started 6 days after delivery when I hemorraged and after two failed D&C's a hysterectomy was necessary. OB said my uterus basically "died". A friend has started a pph-survivors support group at yahoogroups if others have had a similiar experience and would like to participate in an active email support group. I never thought of the pitocin being a cause of what happened to me, now I have more research to do. Thanks for the site.
