Natasha M. Amos My domestic partner and I were excited to have our first child and still to this day we love him so much. We are greatful to have him. Our son was born in August of 2001 we think that the doctor administered to much pitocin. Sarah my partner almost bleed to death and my son was born with a cerebral brain infarction on the left side. He is unable to operate his right side as well as his left. He fits in the category of cerebral palsy for he has similar physical difficulties. We are in the process of finding an attourney. Does anyone have information that can help us in a lawsuit. The doctor induced Sarah because he was going on vacation and he wanted to be the one to deliver my son. Kadon is our first child, we didnt have any idea that being induced was so dangerous. We trusted our doctor and he never told us of the dangers of being induced or the dangers of pitocin. Not only are we upset at the pitocin situation but before the pitocin was even administered the doctor came in to break Sarah's water and do the ultrasound. The doctor said that baby was facing in the wrong direction, he then said that he was going to induce anyways and that the baby would probably turn in the birth canal. I have been doing research and all doctors know that the baby will never turn in the birth canal when pitocin is used. Because the baby didn't turn in the birth canal more pressure is applied on the skull which can cause the cerebral hypoxia lack of oxygen to the brain. All doctor's should do a c-section when the baby is facing the wrong direction. Our doctor left after he broke Sarah's water and never retured until the last five minutes when Kadon (my son's) head was already out. Sarah did 7 hour's of pushing and the doctor never checked on her once. 4 hours into the labor I asked the nurse if we could do and apesiotomy and she said "no." Not to mention after the birth the doctor started to stress out because Sarah wouldn't quit bleeding. Please email me at NatashaAmos@hotmail.com If you have any information that can help us with a lawsuit.. Thanks...Kadon's mothers
