My story is ongoing I woke up on the day of my sons birth went into the bathroom and my water broke the doctor said to go to the hospital if this happens so we went. When we got there they acessed me and said I was not having contractions and they would have to induce me they never even gave my body a chance to start on its own! As he is my 1st child I had no idea what to expect but now I am feeling the reprocutions of trusting blindly as I now have a boy who is very angry all the time a sign of a mild form of autism. (it is mild for those who do not live with it everyday of their lives) I now wish I had waited at home until contractions had started. I know there is a risk of infection when your water breaks but I knew what to avoid (ie showers) in order to minimize those risks. Ialso feel that I maybe should of had a midwife or a doula to help mediate with hospital staff. As a last note I have since had a girl and went into labour on my own and stay at home until it was unbearable then went to the hospital and was 9 cm dialated I had her within one hour of arriving at the hospital and recomend staying where you feel comfortable for as long as possible then drugs can not be pushed upon you. Thank you KIM NYITRAI
