I have had problems with my hormone levels since my first period, the doctors have no good explanation for this, but they've told me that it might be oxytocin (Pitocin is the synthetic form for oxytocin). This causes my uterus to contract, like in labour, my legs to cramp and I am totally lost for about a week. This happens every time I have my period, imagine your body trying to "give birth" once a month all year all your life.. The doctors I've been intouch with have given me naproxyn to leave me from some pain. I am now 23 years old, and my body is not gonna take this much longer. All my muscles and intestants in the "uterus-region" are affected from long time sideffects from medicines and from the cramps. Some of the sideffects is headache, almost constantly, because of tension in my muscles, probably from ten years use of naproxyn. To reduce the sideffects I've been given baclofen(muscle relaxant and antispastic), but I am not allowed to take these pills for a much longer time. But what then? The pain and my problems will still be as prsent as ever. I am from Norway, and here we only have public health care, and the doctors-union have given me up; "There is nothing we can do", but I think there is, at least I have a vague hope.. I am hoping that one of you who has just read my story might have heard of someone who suffers from the same thing that I do. If you have heard of something like my story, please e-mail me and tell me about it. Let me show the doctors here in Norway that they could have done more for me! I have to live with this every day, please help me.
