I also know the horrors of the pit drip. My water was also broken (meconium was present), pit started, epidural, spinal, general anesthia. Because of the additional stress of the pitocin and epidural on my baby, his heart rate rapidly declined and I was rushed into the operating room for an emergency C-section. The spinal moved too high into my body, paralzying my respiratory system, and thus I was given general anesthia. Evan had to be resustitated at birth, seizured a few hours later, and has had developmental delays ever since. All because the doctor wanted to move my "labor along for his convience". Makes me sick. Thank you again for sharing. I'm so grateful that you developed a web page for this cause.
